The author is a fiction writer that profits from feeding the fears of his readers. Why should I listen to him? I have no fear, I am saved and impatiently await my Lord's return. To put it bluntly...I'm tired and want to go Home.

Mrs. L,TOWM and I both discuss our world weariness often. We try to be careful to do what works we see that needs to be done -- He obviously want us to be doing something, our we would be taken away.

I bought the series and enjoyed reading them. It had nothing to do with fear though. That said, I think it is ok for us to think about this because it reminds us that someday He is returning and we need to be ready. Christ tells us that there will be wars and rumors of wars but the gospel must be published 1st. I don't know what all fits in here though. I do know that VIPS have no more idea of signs of when, than the people in the trenches that read their Bible. The Lord says only the Father knows. Any man that says otherwise is going against scripture.
