Military Intelligence Chief: Syrian army now at its highest state of alert.

This popped up on Haaretz or JPost abouf 6 hours ago, highest DEFENSIVE alert. The IDF general quoted mentioned that accidents could happen and the story itself noted that Hezzies were trying to get rockets into the Syrian slope of the Golan.

I have been wondering about this. But defensive alert is one thing, offensive is another. If there are troops building on the borders, things will get interesting.

To be honest I hope that Syria doesn't do that.

There was no element of surprise in Hezbollah's deployment," Yadlin said. "During the past year, we passed intelligence assessments on to the decision-making level, including comprehensive information on long-range missiles supplied to Hezbollah."

It is the same story again and again the decision makers are not listening to what the intel provides.
