Unless the IDF calls up a lot more reserves than previously reported (i've heard as few as only 4 combat regiments have been deployed to the border), i do not see a push north of the line from Tyre east to Beit Jbail >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

The IDF has always called up its reserves secretly and there will be very little notification that would be seen by the public until they assemble into convoys and are on the way. The call up process was started in the Hamas war, and the reserves likely put on standby. Ihe IDF is very tricky, unlike most conventional forces.

I suspect that there is a multiple option game plan which is based on seizing the initiative constantly in an unpredictable fashion. That is the only thing one can say about the IDF, it is unpredictable. So far they have lulled everyone into thinking that they will maintain conventional strategy, when in fact that is not necessarily the case.

When all evacuations have been completed, one might expect to see some rapid changes of troop deployment and strategy. I think they will cut Southern Lebanon off somehow, possibly by driving east from Sidon all the way to Syria.

They need to take a lesson from king hussein, and drive them completely out of Southern Lebanon...

Close off the area completely, drive the civilians out, smoke the bad guys out of thier holes, clean up the place, and then ONLY allow civilians back in through tighlty controlled choke points......

That is the ONLY way they can avoid a repeat of the 80's war. The question is, do they have the stones to pull it off??

With all the media covering this story in Israel, i think it would be fairly difficult to hide division sized call ups of reserves, i could, and hope i am, wrong
