Wanna bet CNN doesn't show those interviews of people being grateful to the Marines?
My friends (Americans) over and over have said in their emails how grateful they are for what's being done...and they have two small kids and are still trying to get out.
They've been at the port a few times trying to get out now, and they actually decided to not go down Friday unless they were contacted b/c they were so horrified at what they saw in attitude and behavior of people today. They said they understand people being scared and frustrated and tired and hot, but that's not an excuse...people pushing moms with small kids and just bowling them over trying to get a voucher to get on a boat, people shoving old people that could hardly walk as it was...
So if, over the weekend, you see a family with two small kids, no accent, a blonde wife and a bald husband being GRATEFUL, you might just be seeing my friends...because, like I said, they are SO appreciative of what's being done. They thought they'd be on their own!
