We've had fairly pleasant summers until this one.

In TEXAS????? I was there the summer of 1998. Bought a t-shirt that said, "I survived the Texas heat wave of 1998" loaded a moving truck and headed north! LOL!

Pity really, I loved everything about Texas except the heat!

Let me clarify what I mean by 'pleasant.'

I mean that it gets cool enough in the evening to be able to take a long dog walk early in the morning and another one after the sun goes down but before dark.

I mean highs in the mid-nineties and lows about 73 to 75.

We've had highs in the 105 range and lows in the mid eighties.

That's hot.

Don't be talkin' to me about no wimpy hot, I'm talkin' real hot.
