Not really. The Lebanese army doesn't operate any fixed wing aircraft. They don't need runways for helicopters.

What about the IAF? Nothing moves in Lebanon without the Israeli's implicit permission. Heck, they BUZZED Assad's Syrian summer palace last week! Do you really think Hezbollah could march the captured Israeli soldiers through the Beirut airport and onto a Syrian plane to Iran?
The airport tarmacs and fuel tanks were hit to prevent Syria from resupplying HEzbollah. It's that simple.
