I would like to thank him for Starsky And Hutch. Whatever you might think of some of his stuff, the man knew what people wanted to see and how to entertain them. And believe me, we needed something to keep our minds off of what was going on during the Carter Years! Prayers for him and his family.

The cruelty I read here is sad. I agree. This is sad. A man dies and all some people can do is rip on his daughter's appearance. Tori isn't the most classic beauty, but many women would love to look as good as her.
As far as his work: Well, he produced some real gems and some real crap and everything in between. Don't we all? (Heck, I manage to do that trick every week in the kitchen.)

You got rich on filling the badly needed crap niche on network TV. Although someone had to do it, I suppose.
Yes that immoral 7th Heaven was a travesty. sarc.

Show some class, this is a memorial thread.
As for Mr. Spelling's daughter- So what if her father gave her parts in his shows- She's his daughter. If he wanted her to share in his business, he had the right to do that. And, it's always a cheap shot to comment on a person's looks- especially on a memorial thread- no class.

Rest in peace Mr. Spelling. We have enjoyed many of your shows over the years. (
"Fantasy Island" was one of my all time favorites, and more recently "Charmed").
I don't know if anyone here watched "Charmed", but, one little thing I noticed after 9/11, was that every episode after that date had a U.S. flag somewhere in it, as part of the set- i.e. a flag refrigerator magnet in the kitchen set, or on a coffee cup in a scene. I thought it was a nice touch.
TV is in such a dreadful state, (with one or two exceptions), I wonder who will fill this void? Mr. Spelling's originality, and creativity, will be missed.
Prayers for his family, for comfort through their grieving.

And a hot daughter. The best plastic surgeons, the best cameramen, the best makeup artists, the best lighting. And she still looks like a horse. I'm now hoping for an improvement in TV shows. But I'm not holding my breath. One good thing: His daughter will never get a TV part again.ROFL, my thoughts exactly. Every time I saw her in any show I immediately turned it off. Nothing good to see here.

I disagree. He somehow managed to impregnate a platypus.

Ah, but the good news is Hart to Hart Season 1 is out on DVD! Robert Wagner and Stefanie Powers remain good friends to this day (and both shyly grinned and giggled when Larry King asked them back in the early 90s if they had ever been together).

She's always looked kinda horsey to me:

Lots of talk here about his big house. I once read that he didn't like to travel, and built the house to compensate his family for staying in Los Angeles all the time.

I'll second that! Just watched an episode last night. :)
It was a classic TV show that had everything.
