"A former Marine...who has no respect whatsoever for Marines today. How strange."
You MUST be army! How dare you!
You also don't read very well.
It's one thing to give Muslims a dedicated space (which they now have) - it's another to build a mosque. Especially when most of those Muslims are foreign officers.
Feel free to come visit and find out for yourself!!
Several military officers chose to sit out the Quantico ceremony than hear deputy Defense Secretary Gordon England mouth "salaams" to the Muslims in attendance. They think the mosque is misplaced, and don't trust its imam.
This is a mockery (mosquery) of our military. They are being commanded to go out and kill the enemy and at the same time kiss their @ss. So very Clintonesque.
BRAVISSIMO!!!
Another FINE response there Mr. FR Pitbull! Nice.
It's one of the first with more than a single thought connected. Of course there's the mandatory insult in there based on purely your opinions, which I'm quite glad to see that you didn't abandon.
But ya know, there's just so much there to chew on and think about, that you'll surely pardon me while I don't post for a while until such a time as I have had sufficient time to simply digest it all.
LOL...
I must say, I've followed your nonsense for a while now, but today has reached a new height, and I'm very happy to be the one to expose your .... shallow reasoning.
BTW there chief, we ever gonna get your reconciliation of your agreement that there are conflicts between our 1st Amendment and what the Koran, you know, that core book for Muslims, the one that can't be touched by other than muslims for fear of world-wide riots, says as outlined in post #71????
Hmmm!
Now I know we're not, but it's fun to ask because your responses are nostalgic. ; )
It's very easy when it's so true. There are thousands of Muslims serving in the United States Military, including the Marine Corps. I do care about them, a pity you don't.
Maybe they can share this facility.
*Wow. That was particularly nasty. If your idea of freedom of religion results in you thinking those who disagree with you are of less value than dirt on a Muslim's Marines boot, then you may be much closer to the essence of Islam than you realise.
Islam teaches that all Christians, including native born American Christians (I am assuming the description fits fruitbat) are the sons of monkeys and pigs.
BTW, that first ammendment thingy, does it extend to fruitbat's liberty to disagree with you wihtout being thought of as less value than dirt?
Oh, and I've got facts derived from reality, not based on opinionated ignorance.
I also strongly suspect that you wouldn't know the first thing about "charging into battle." You're there behind your keyborad thinking you're being all tough when all you're really doing is showing that you know how to be rude.
(What is it about so many FReepers who joined in '04? That "class" seems to have generated the most ill-bred people of any other sign-up year.)
It appears that you're the one who should learn some facts before you go shooting off your mouth. And learning some manners would benefit you greatly, as well.
And I'm not a "son." I'm female.
Don't tangle with your intellectual superiors. You'll always come off looking like an a$$.
How manyy angels can dance on the head of a pin?
Chew on that one at your junior high school debating society.
You can try to reconcile the Constitution all you want, it places no restrictions whatsover on religous freedom. As I said, you're not worthy of the dirt off a Muslim Marine's boots.
I wouldn't deny dingbats religious freedoms at all...
I am outraged at this, it makes me sick to my stomach!
Islam is a feaking cult and we as a country better get that or it will be too late for this entire USA to survive.
This Navy Lt. Abuhena Mohammed Saifulislam and all the information we know about him should be enough to wake up a few of the PC freaks but it seems it does not matter.
Islam is a death cult!
Yeah, says me. I've worked and lived in the Middle East for two and a half years and I'm still here. I believe that lends me a little credibiity.
What are your sources? CNN?
P.S. An entire region or religion does not Saudi Arabia make.
And "you get this?" What, questions? Yes, you get questions. If those are too tough, or offensive, then you're simply in the wrong place.
So, you've lived in the Middle East so that makes you an expert on Islamic ideology.
OK, I'll bite!!!
Go to post #71 then and please reconcile for me, not ala CWOJackson, the First Amendment, you know, the founding tenet of our entire nation as outlined in the Bill of Rights and Constitution, and the references that I cited from the Koran. And since you've lived in the ME, you'll understand the importance of the Koran to muslims. In fact, it's so important to them that the paper of one Koran is worth more than the life of a non-muslim.
So you want an intelligent debate, start with #71 and let me know:
A. Do you see any conflicts between the 1st Amendment vice that which is contained in the Koran as cited.
and B. What might that mean over the long haul to our nation?
Let's see if you can "not follow in CWOJackson's footprints of admitting that there's a conflict, but then running away like a 5-year old girl from the ensuing debate.
Offended? Then leave. They're simple challenges there Allegra! Nothing more.
#1. I've asked you repeatedly to back up your statement that I don't care that Muslims had to pray outside before the Mosque was built.
How do you know they had to pray outside?
#2. When I gave a link to a web site that reports how difficult it's been for non-Christians and Jews specifically to be given space and literature in which to pray, you sarcastically said maybe the Muslims and Jews can pray TOGETHER in the new Mosque.
So you can't back up your statements in #1 and then make disgusting comments in #2.
Because I am sick to death of people who sit on the fat ass in their comfortable computer chairs dictating how the men and women of the U.S. military are treated or what religion they worship. Bottom line, the DoD saw fit to provide this facility for some Marines and I totally support that.
Does it make any difference to you that you support building a mosque for the adherents of a religion which teaches you are the son of monkeys and pigs and that you must be converted or killed or accept dhimmitude and pay the jizyah?
None of which answers why you can't answer a simple question that's been posted to you.
How do you know that Muslims had to pray outside before this mosque was built? You regularly go around making sarcastic statements that have no basis in fact?
And how lovely that because you're annoyed with some freepers that you think Jews and Muslims should pray together in a mosque.
Oh BS...I support providing for the religious freedoms of our troops.
I don't, which is a mute point now that they have their facility.
I can see you aren't so concerned about religion freedom for ALL the troops though. Certainly not the Jews, or didn't you bother to read that link I posted?
That might be fairly typical of someone who sarcastically said something they can't back up.
So you don't know that Muslims had to pray outside before the mosque was built.
So when I said that Muslims had dedicated space in which to pray BEFORE the mosque was built and you sarcastically said it was nice of me to let them pray OUTSIDE, you were just making stuff up.
Good to know.
