Nope. Won't happen. Used to think so, then I realized that nobody gives a d@mn.

People are largely sedated by bread and circuses (Welfare and TV); politics is just another, not very good, reality show.

Maybe Mexican Separatists (MeCHa and La Raza) might start an insurrection. That could happen. We might not be able suppress it 'cause anything we did would be "racist."

But another Civil War ala 1861 is impossible. The States can't field a force that could rival the Federales. You'd have to split the US armed forces, or convince 'em to stay home.

If it does happen, I'll be unhappy - I'm too old to fight very well.
