Sounds like 'Big Brother' to me. I don't think Bloomberg has ever had an idea I agreed with.

advocating a plan that would establish a DNA or fingerprint database to track and verify all legal U.S. workers.Newsflash, Sherlock. It's not the legal workers we're concerned about.

the biometric aside - we need a better social security card in this country. one with at least some minimal security behind it. the current social security card is a joke.

Republican Mayor Michael Bloomberg thrust himself into the national immigration debate Wednesday, advocating a plan that would establish a DNA or fingerprint database to track and verify all legal U.S. workers. Please allow me to eloquently respond to this idea in the manner of a true American .... F$%^ THAT!

Left wing politicians should be chained to basement posts Monday thru Friday and brought out every Saturday afternoon for a whipping in the public square. And they should be allowed exercise on Sunday in alligator infested lakes.

Bloomberg compared his proposed federal identification database to the Social Security card, insisting that such a system would not violate citizens' privacy and was not a civil liberties issue.

This statist has never seen a government solution he doesn't like. But I agree with one aspect of his statism. I think we should pass a law, too. A law that dictates this guy can never hold office again.

Seems a necessary adjunct of the Right's position of immegration. Else one has no way of determining what one's status is. The question is whether one must also wear a colored badge on the lapel also.

I think he means all illegal aliens working in the USA.
Why would this bleeding heart liberal keep track of us workers? I mean, I know he's pro illegal aliens, so I would expect illegal to be tracked, not legals.
To: KoRn
I am sick and tired of so called Republicans calling for keeping government data bases on each and every aspect of private citizens lives. How many do they have on workers now? At least two and I'm certain many more including the IRS and Social Security data base. Yet this moron wants yet another? Whats he doing competing with Attorney General Gonzales for data base lord?
