Thank you dutchess. It was not so unexpected to me because of my long experience dealing with such events. Maggie was not getting any better and when they released her to go home, I pretty much knew that she would barely make it, and she did. Thank God for the few hours she had with her family around her. She knew that she was "going Home". The last thing she said to me, "I love you too." That was July 4th and we both knew it would be the last time we would speak in this world.

To My DAD and also the husband of a great lady.

Dear Dad, I am sorry for the loss of your wife. I only have known you for a short time and Maggie. In the couple times that we have seen each other she treated me like a son. She was a lovely lady and I would have loved to learn more about her. My sister Jenny shares allot of Mom, so we still have mom with us. Her grandkids have allot of her also. I am sorry I can't be there to be at your side, but my prayers are with you. Please, hang on dad and be safe and strong. I have faith in you. May GOD bless you and your family in this time of grief. Talk to you soon.

It is so wonderful to come to this thread and see posts from LadyX's family!

Bernie, your updates have been so very much appreciated.

Steve, thank you for sharing the video and thoughts about your mother. What a blessing to have had her for a mom!

And Morgan, what a touching sweet post from you. I knew your grandmother here on line for several years and I must say that I don't know of anyone who seemed happier and more content than she. Through all of her health problems I never once heard her complain. I am sure she had days that were very difficult, but here she was always positive and uplifting.....and often very funny. Her sense of adventure and her story-telling entertained us all. For me personally, she was spiritual guiding light and an inspiration. I know that I am a better person for knowing her.

Our hearts are with you, her family, now. May the Lord whom she so dearly loved and faithfully served comfort you all during this time of loss and sadness.

Hi, Morgan.

Oh, yes, your grandma, our LadyX was very happy with life and it showed with every word she would say here. She especially loved her family and was so proud of each and every one of you. Now, I've not known her as long as you have but I can't stop thinking about her either and I've got some special memories shared, too. She had the BEST stories to tell.

Through my tears today I'm thanking our Lord that He brought Margaret to brighten our lives even if it was for too short a time (in my opinion, Lord!).

Your grandma had an absolute trust that EVERYTHING that happened in her life was brought there by His own hand and for the purpose of glorifying Him in her life. Therefore she could rejoice and be happy no matter what. She really lived her faith.

God bless you and keep you, dear Morgan.

I miss you so badly, Margaret. I'll be planting zinnias just for you. And maybe some lantana over there in that flower bed....

Oh dear Steve, how wonderful to have that video. Your tribute to your Mom is almost too much for me. I'm so glad that you were able to do that for yourself. It helps us to be able to talk about our loved ones. That seems to be what we want to do. Bring back all the memories we can possibly recall and talk about them. One of the blessings of Free Republic is that we have a place to share those memories with people who genuinely care.

I hope you saw my post to your Dad about the music box. I do so apologize for being so self-centered when you called. I think I was trying not to hear what I knew you were going to say. In my own pain, I forgot yours, and that is unforgivable. I am so sorry.

I hope and pray that you will continue to stay with us for awhile so you can talk about your Mom all you want to. Share your memories of her.

Don't forget, tomorrow, the Finest thread will be memorializing your Mom. I will try to see if your post can be moved over there. If not, we can direct people to it via a link.

You recited all of her daily rigors and pain that she suffered. Here are her own words about how she felt about that: "Throughout it all, I still am serene and joyous, counting my many blessings, and never am depressed. All three of my children are grounded in the Lord and I trust the Lord to guide them, as He has me."

There are not enough words to describe such a woman. As I so often told her, she was the wind beneath my wings, and I'm sure that her family thought of her the same way.

May God give you a deeper peace than your pain, and walk with you through the valley. (((((hugs))))))

For Morgan. Your grandmother had the deepest kind of faith in God. That made her a very happy woman, because it gave meaning to her life. She lived to serve God by serving others. She adored her children and all of her family. She talked about all of you hours on end. Remember the fact that she wanted to to watch somehting on TV that would be positive. She was thinking of your happiness. When we think of others and their happiness, it makes us happy. Thinking of ourselves all the time does not lead to happiness. Your Grandmamma was all about doing for others. She was a strong lady who experienced many adventures, but she never lost sight of who she was and what she was about. I hope you will read what she said ab out her illness that I posted above.

Sweetie, you take the very best of that great lady and you make her proud, and I know you will. She will want you to be a strong, responsible person.

You keep reading the things that people are sayiing about her and you will see what greatness is. Ask yourself why they love her so much, and then look for the answer. Those of us who loved her, will love you because you are her blood and bone, as well as heart. ((((((Morgan)))))))

Did you make it through the service/sermon w/o breaking up?

Did you share the testimony of Maggie. Sometimes that type of "message" is the most powerful we can offer to our flock..

Need to run.

Thinking of you hon! (I talked with her last Saturday)- the first).. she had her typical soft voice & seemed weak.. but happy & sparkly at the same time). She said she missed us all & hoped to post soon...

Welcome Roger. We know about you too. :o) She just would talk about her family. I've got to do some digging and find all the printouts that I've kept. She talked about how much she wanted you and your sister to feel accepted after so many years of being lost. She was so very happy when they found you, that she called me and was almost jumping up and down happy. She said, "I have the most wonderful news!" Then she went on to tell me about how you were found, and how nice you were.

I have wanted to find out how you are doing. You recently had some heart problems and we have wondered if you are okay.

If you hang around here and especially at the "Finest" thread (brown icon, home page FR) tomorrow, you will learn more about LadyX.

I'm so glad that you all have found this place to share your pain and your joys. ((((Roger))))

LadyX is home at last. When the doctors would not let her go, she called her Father, and He picked her up and took her when she had so longed to be...

All is well in our Father's house, for His beautiful daughter is home at last.

That even looks like Sistah as a little girl. Sorry I have to leave for awhile. Have to drive about 45 miles to a funeral home for visitation hours (Church member's mother). Should be home around 8.
