The hearing included testimony from representatives of nearly two dozen disease advocacy groups.

These "advocady groups" are part of what's wrong with the National Institute of Health. They are the reason AIDS receives such a huge disproportion of funding in relation to the number of people who have the disease.

All they need to do is take funding from their "studies" of firearms as disease, and other non medical cr@p, and they'd have increased funding levels for studying real diseases, like bird flu, including man jihadie made or enhanced ones.

But they won't.
