“Did Mel Gibson slander real people in his movies?”

Yes, next question?

I’m not overly bothered about him toying with the truth but if anyone has a right to bleat about someone else doing it it’s not Mel Gibson.

The da Vinci code is fiction, it doesn’t take much looking around to find out it’s fiction, and really the less fuss that was kicked up about it the less people would flock to see it.

Yes, next question?

I know in the Patriot all the names were made up. Did Mel use real names in Braveheart? Certainly, Mel did the British no favors in his portrayal, but the British were quite the imperialistic bastards in their day.

You might ask why so many people read the book. This is not like Harry Potter.

My next question is, "did Mel Gibson cowardly call his movie 'fiction' so he could cover himself from attack, or did he simply call his movie historical fact"?
