Go to any gun show and compare the prices. Valmets are most expensive, and not for nothing - I've shot a few. As for the "Vepr" [wild hog] - it is swinery.
I just fire last summer with the M-16 for annual training, and the new sites are awesome, took me only about 12 shots to zero my riffle and shot expert. I had no problem with jamming. I think the M-16 is more accurate then the AK-47 out of the box.
Started my career in the army reserves in 84, I remember the old sites, it took me forever to get zero in, and the riffle would jam if you did not keep it clean. I have not seen any problems with the new models.
Looking forward to shooting again next month, since I am now assign to a tactical air control party unit supporting the Army. Get to fire on a better firing range with pop up targets.
