"What would Kerry do?"
Why he'd stage a combat scene outside Baghdad complete with weapon and camo, then come back to the US to testify that our soldiers are raping, looting, killing, and torturing with his testimony backed up by people who have never been in the service.
That is what Kerry would do.

Well, after bashing FOX for having a bias, I'm glad the Seattle PI showed them how to do an objective piece.

Don't ever forget that I served in Viet Nam and was attacked by rice. I was also involved in Cambodia and heard the enemy singing Christmas songs.

Kerry is pathetic. The bum protested the Vietnam War with the likes of Hanoi Jane on the Capitol steps and threw his medals away. Now he protests the Iraq war as a Senator on talk shows and the floor of the US Senate. A snake never stops slithering on it's belly.

"I'll tell you what I think: It's quite personal," Kerry said. "A bunch of people who never served in the military or Vietnam -- and drew the wrong lessons from the war -- brought with them an ideological bent on the world's problems." Pleeeeaaaassse STFU!!!!!!

About a month ago, Kerry spoke at a New Hampshire event shown on C-Span. Not a big room, but packed with dem. party loyalists. Kerry was trolling for primary support, of course, and thanked a dozen people by name. (Embarrassing moment number one: He was introduced as 'Senator Kennedy', and a hearty laugh was had by all.)
Then he begged for support mixed in with boiler-plate I hate Bush stuff. (Very minimal applause.) As he ended, the audience raced for the exit as if someone had yelled 'Fire!' Kerry rushed around, trying to shake hands...he was being filmed! Managed to trap three people before the room emptied and they didn't have much to say to him. Quite amusing.

In McNamara's admission, the United States tried to achieve a military outcome in Vietnam without a political foundation.
"It is exactly the situation in Iraq today,"
Yup, exactly, you've hit the nail right on the head. We've never considered the politics, elections, security or infrastructure of Iraq during all of this - it's exactly like Vietnam, complete with thick jungles and hey, Iraq actually borders Cambodia too, I hadn't noticed that.
