The United States is different from the Romans and English in that we are genuinely a melting pot. Not to mention the fact that we are the most free country on earth with the most civil rights. Unlike the Romans and English, we have billions of people worldwide who would give their left testicle (or left breast) to come here. Unlike most empires who build walls to keep people in, we are contempleting walls to keep people OUT!

That is why we are different than any other nation in the history of the civilized world. We are the greatest, richest and most powerful nation in the history of human civilization. Even the poorest people in our country are enjoying the greatest standard of living in the history of the world.

I believe your melting pot theory melted with the rise of Political Correctness, and so called need for Cultural DIVERSITY.

Unfortunately those who immigrate here ILLEGALLY seem to buy into to these liberal principles. I can't blame them, after all most are from corrupt Socialist countries, know nothing else and have achieved a comfort level which they prefer to maintain.

Your screen name belies your posts on this thread. Incorporating socialist Canada, and even more socialist Mexico into the US spells disaster for conservatives. Have you stopped to consider how these new additions will vote? This grand union of yours politically would amount to a gigantic Massachusetts - California.
