Stunning facts about the proposed immigration bill

SENATOR SESSIONS ON SECURING AMERICA'S BORDERS ACT

Mr. President, I thank Senator Leahy, ranking member on the Judiciary Committee.

I have received just this afternoon in my office some disturbing news in the form of correspondence from the Congressional Budget Office. It suggests a number of areas where the amendment we are talking about here today, No. 3424, the immigration so-called compromise, violates our budget and the rules of the Senate.

Let me read from the correspondence we have received. This is something, as you know, Mr. President, as a member of the Judiciary Committee, that we never discussed at all. It is not a matter we spent any time at all discussing as we moved forward with legislation which ultimately cleared that committee and came to the floor — legislation which I thought was not good legislation and which I opposed, and so did the Senator from Texas, who just relinquished the Chair. We didn't discuss the financial impact of the legislation before us.

Stand Up For America !

"We have room for but one flag, the American flag...
We have room for but one language here, and that is the English language...
And we have room for but one sole loyalty and that is a loyalty to the American people."

Falzett criticizes Herger on Immigration-California Political Desk- Wally Herger’s recent position in a news article on immigration was that the law is being broken. He also explained that he voted for a tougher bill in the House than he thought was necessary because he knew the Senate would “water it down”. Bill Falzett, a Democratic opponent for the Congressional seat now occupied by Wally Herger, called Herger’s position on immigration oversimplified, naive, and misleading. Falzett believes that people should say what they mean and vote for what they agree with.

Plague symptoms include fever, muscle aches, nausea, headache, sore throat, fatigue and swollen, tender lymph nodes associated with the arm or leg that has flea bites. The disease is treatable with antibiotics, medical experts said.

Immigration and anti-war movements unite in New York By Saeed Shabazz

Author Interview - Challenging A Mindset

From the above:

Why did you choose the title "The Synagogue of Satan" for your latest work?

Ashahed M. Muhammad (AMM): Satan is referred to as an angel who attempts to usurp the position – in terms of power and dominion – of God.

The title alone may cause some to automatically assume that this book is touting hatred of Judaism. What message do you want to relay to its potential readers?

AMM: First of all, assumptions are flawed and dangerous. I would never advocate hatred of adherents of Judaism. We are not taught that. This book is not about that at all. The title, though provocative is not meant to offend or incite.

The above page led me to this!:

Winner of the Day!

An Amigo a Minute- Well, at least we don’t have a massive, festering, nasty mess on our hands. It could be worse; we could have thousands of people illegally crossing into the United States on a daily basis, lowering the wages of American workers, draining hospital and educational resources, and replacing American flags with foreign flags. Statistically speaking, by the time you are finished reading this column, “Three Amigos” will have illegally crossed into the United States.

A Sad State When Thought About(FR Opinion Poll) -by sit-rep - I'll make it short and sweet... I just took the poll at the bottom of the latest posts page, and was absolutely shocked when I seen the results. Close to 50% say they will continue to vote for the GOP if they do NOTHING about the illegal immigration/border security. Granted, it is early on, but what this tells me, a guy who swings a hammer for a living, is that our general consensus is to do nothing about this situation, but vote the same folks back in...as in "That a boy, you're doing good!!"

Right over 'my' head

As you can imagine responses to this were heated... I was pinged to these:

Have YOU voted? Be sure to! Very bottom right

The Freeper Poll that started it all: If the White House and GOP controlled congress does not act immediately to seal the borders, penalize employers who hire illegals and deport illegals when caught, how will it affect your vote in November?

I will continue to vote GOP 41.0% 2,889

I will vote third party 31.9% 2,248

I will stay home 21.6% 1,521

I will vote for the Democrat 5.5% 388

# 2 Hiring illegals is just as illegal

# 3 The border: It's up to Pres. Bush now!

# 4 Bishops united on immigration - Church mounts aggressive lobbying campaign

# 5 Homeland Security to take outside bids for border security WASHINGTON - In an apparently tacit admission of the government's failure to gain control over border areas, the Department of Homeland Security last week asked private industry to submit bids for fixing the problem.

Yeah for Boise!

Vasquez reaps anti-immigration contributions in 1st District race -BOISE -- Canyon County Commissioner Robert Vasquez has raised more money than any other candidate in the first three months of this year in the race for Idaho's First Congressional District seat. Canyon County Commissioner Robert Vasquez is running for Idaho's First Congressional seat in 2006.Most of the $125,000 raised by Vasquez has come from out of state donors. Vasquez wants to close the U.S. borders and expel everyone who is in the country illegally. Republican State Senator Bill Sali of Kuna has raised the most money in total, according to the Federal Election Commission. He has raised more than $280,000 and spent about $245,000.

Yeah for Chattanooga!

U.S. Senate Candidate Van Hilleary - Among issues raised by Mr. Hilleary, the problem of illegal immigration was one of his major points of discussion. “I can’t believe what I saw in D.C. Congress cannot even agree to secure borders. I’m not against legal immigration; I think it’s great,” he said, “but if we are a country of laws, this is a simple decision.”

# 6 "Compromise" immigration bill bad for homeland security- As promised, Senator John Cornyn continues to put out daily bits of information about the Senate "compromise" immigration bill. Today, Cornyn points out that Senate Minority Leader Harry Reid blocked an amendment he offered that would have closed a gaping loophole in the bill.

Eyeopening read!

# 7 The Struggle for Immigrants Rights Today- Not to be outdone, Congressman Tom Tancredo (R-CO), organizer of a 70 person extreme anti-immigrant caucus in the House, introduced HR 3333, the Real Guest Act, which entailed internal and border crackdowns, expulsion of all undocumented immigrants, a large no-rights guestworker program, increased employer sanctions, and denial of citizenship to US born children of the undocumented. (Senator Chuck Hagel [R-NB] also introduced a package of four bills that took a position approximately between the McCain-Kennedy and the Cornyn-Kyl approaches)

# 8 The immigration issue won't be solved through politics - Borders must be better policed, but deportation of illegal migrants is impractical.

MS-13

A MUST Read!

Think Illegal Immigrants Contribute To This Country?...Think Again! - We keep hearing about how much illegal immigrants contribute to this nation. However, we only hear that nonsense from pandering politicians incapable of honesty and from the illegals themselves. While the cheap labor which illegal aliens provide to their American slave masters helps to boost the bottom line of many hotel chains, the Mexican invaders provide nothing but harm to most Americans. The Mexican invasion has brought with it two very violent Latino gangs, both now operating across this country. According to 2004 U.S. Justice Department figures, the Latino “18th Street Gang” had 20,000 members in this country (most in Los Angeles), while the Honduran gang infamous for their machete attacks known as MS-13 had 8,000 criminals roaming the streets in 28 American cities.

Guess Who's NOT Coming to Dinner!

Gangs roil Central America -Troubles linked to US deportees- Today, ''maras," or youth street gangs, boast 100,000 members in Central America by conservative estimates. The maras have links to an estimated 8,000 to 10,000 members in more than 30 US states, including Massachusetts, according to the FBI. By most accounts, maras, whose moniker refers to a deadly species of ant, were spawned in Los Angeles. Mara 18 began as the 18th Street Gang in the 1960s, which accepted Hispanic immigrants excluded from Mexican gangs. Mara Salvatrucha, or MS-13, was founded by Central Americans who fled wars at home in the 1980s, and landed in US ghettos without work or protection from existing gangs.

Lou Dobbs Tonight
Tuesday, April 18, 2006

The War on the Middle Class continues: A big jump in gasoline prices pushed inflation at the wholesale level up in March at the fastest pace in three months. And as oil prices above $70 a barrel send consumers a high-octane warning of expensive fuel costs ahead

Groups on both sides of the aisle are lobbying the Swing Senators for their votes on immigration. Congressman Tom Tancredo is targeting three or four a day for the next week, trying to persuade them to pass meaningful border security and reform. Who are these senators that could help decide whether amnesty is granted to 20 million illegal aliens and how likely are they to stand up to the open borders lobby?

Congressman Duncan Hunter, a strong proponent of immigration reform, gives our Casey Wian an exclusive tour of the fence at the US-Mexico border.

Are we ignoring the immigration enforcement laws already on the books? The 1986 Amnesty bill put laws in place that were suppose to stop illegal immigration. Obviously, they haven’t worked.

And is our government listenng to its citizens?

Visit for more info

# 1 Se habla entitlement - The recent pro-immigration demonstrations around the country have been a major turnoff. There is something not convincing about illegal immigrants demonstrating to claim they have inalienable rights to come here, be here, work here, become citizens here – and make all these claims in Spanish.

# 2 INVASION USA- Sex-Mex Eva Longoria: Don't deport illegals - 'Mexicans contribute an enormous amount to our society'

# 3 Dennis Prager - All Americans must see 'United 93' - I believe it is just about every American's duty to see this film. There is no gratuitous violence – if anything, Universal went out of its way to prevent us from seeing the reality of the throat-slashing of passengers and crew – but there is unremitting tension and sadness, since we all know what will happen to these unsuspecting people, and we know this is real, not fiction. There is also American heroism. People completely unprepared for an airplane flight to become their last hour alive rise to the occasion and save fellow Americans from death and from the humiliation of having their nation's capitol building destroyed.

# 4 Chavez says US warships threaten Venezuela, Cuba

Vincente Plays a WHOLE Different BallGame!

# 5 Mexico harsh to undocumented migrants- TULTITLAN, Mexico -- Considered felons by the government, these migrants fear detention, rape and robbery. Police and soldiers hunt them down at railroads, bus stations and fleabag hotels. Sometimes they are deported; more often officers simply take their money. While migrants in the United States have held huge demonstrations in recent weeks, the hundreds of thousands of undocumented Central Americans in Mexico suffer mostly in silence. And though Mexico demands humane treatment for its citizens who migrate to the U.S., regardless of their legal status, Mexico provides few protections for migrants on its own soil. The issue simply isn't on the country's political agenda, perhaps because migrants make up only 0.5 percent of the population, or about 500,000 people - compared with 12 percent in the United States.

Several Arizona lawmakers are planning to introduce their own immigration legislation, after Governor Janet Napolitano’s veto of a bill that would have criminalized the presence of undocumented immigrants in Arizona. Now that the bill has died, local lawmakers have proposed similar legislation that would apply only to Phoenix.

Congressman Pete King of New York sits down with Lou to discuss the mood in Washington surrounding immigration reform and what’s he’s been hearing from his constituents.

And Georgia is enacting tough new legislation to crack down on illegal aliens. Georgia State Senator Chip Rogers joins Lou tonight to discuss the state’s measures.

Subject: U.S. Border Watch Alert!

To Coalition Helpers:

To all patriots!

This is Leslie. I am with U.S. Border Watch. We are organizing a rally outside of the Mexican Consulate,
Sat, 4-22-06, at 11:30 A.M. to 1:30 P.M.

Purpose: Show the American people, and our elected officials, that we want to focus the immigration reform legislation now being discussed in the Senate on BORDER SECURITY.

"Border security is national security."

We are being invaded (at the tune of 10,000 a day) from the southern border by ILLEGAL ALIENS! In this time of war, we cannot afford to have such a security lapse. Not only that, but with the "Sanctuary City" policies of such cities as Houston, Dallas, Austin, and San Antonio, our law enforcement cannot question someone about immigration status. It has been revealed in the trial of Moussaoui last week, that he and another highjacker were stopped for some sort of violation (traffic?) and of course, not detained. We all know the outcome of that.....

Are we going to sit back and let this nonsense continue? Like it or not, the Senate is watching us, and we need to make a statement. We also need to make the American people aware of the huge problems that we have, due to our lack of resolve, as American citizens, to deal effectively with this problem, IMMEDIATELY. We are being treated as less than citizens, while ILLEGAL ALIENS are taking over our country. If they succeed in blocking legislation that will secure our borders, then we have lost. Let us not allow the Senate to get away with it. The American people have made it abundantly clear that we want our borders secured. Let us make a public statement, on San Jacinto Day, recognizing the sacrifice of our forefathers who fought to gain our autonomy from Mexico!

We are Texans!!!! Are we going to just lay down and get run over???

This is not about race, or amnesty, or guest worker, or any of the other non - issues that are being discussed. This is about the sovereignty of our country, and our Constitution. Our forefathers shed their blood, put their fortunes on the line for us to have freedom. We owe it to their memory, as well as our legacy, to carry on. Where would we be today if they had not made those sacrifices for us?

What would Teddy Roosevelt say about this slap to our faces?

What would Sam Houston, David Crockett, James Bowie, Wm. Barrett Travis, and the other Texas heroes say?

Please consider joining me, and members of Texans for Immigration Reform, and other Patriots at this important rally. Bring your flags, and signs that focus on either Texas, or Border Security. I am busy, we are all busy. I am a mom, with a couple young kids that need me to take them places and be there for them. They believe that the time Mom spends on this issue is an investment in their freedom, and they support it, even though I would rather be with them. How can I do any less?

Mexico-Consulate General
4507 San Jacinto St, Houston, TX
713-271-6800

We will have law enforcement protection. Parking is available on the street, or underneath the SW Freeway, which sits catty corner to the Consulate building. It is very visible from the street. (Just look for the Mexican flag!) It is a several story building.

Do me a favor, and let me know if you can make it. The police would like an approximation, so they can plan accordingly.

God Help us!

Special “FaxFire” To Your Senators While They Are Home! Tell Your Senators “No” To Amnesty And Counter The Illegal Alien Protests

With more protests being planned, it is critical that we continue to pressure our elected leaders while they are home with our "No Amnesty" message for illegal aliens.

Hundreds of thousands of illegal alien “rights” protesters have taken to our streets with one goal: to sway our Senators while they are home on recess from Congress.

Grassfire is mounting a massive “March” on your Senators’ in-state offices -- a flood of tens of thousands of faxes delivered to each Senators’ in-state office to counter this new wave of alien rights protests. We need every Grassfire team member to take action!

Just before the Easter Recess, overwhelming action by our Grassfire team helped de-rail a Senate bill that would have granted blanket amnesty to at least 12 million illegal aliens living in our nation!

Our team flooded Senate offices in D.C. with more than 130,000 faxes, and countless phone calls... and it worked!

Now with your Senator's home for Easter Break, for one more week, they are being targeted by illegal rights protestors whose mission is to persuade them into rewarding those who break our laws by granting them amnesty.

Already, tens of thousands of faxes have been sent-- a great start, but we don’t think it is enough to keep our Senators from being persuaded when they return to D.C.

Grassfire
