I have serious problems with the 'religion of peace' comments too, Cow, but I see it as a diplomatic necessity.

What he has done with regard to Islamofascism certainly does not lack clarity, however.

There is going to be confusion, IMO, because we have the constant drumbeat of the left muddling the issues, vascillating back and forth..........and unfortunately in this case, Republicans without the backbone to stand up against the whims of poll numbers and the fear of upcoming elections.

I am thankful that we have a President who is up to this enormous task. Without his leadership, we would be in deep trouble, and fighting for our very existence. I believe our children and grandchildren will live in freedom, and they will have the historical perspective to look back on this time and see why they do.

That it is, and diplomatic and a political necessity.

It is necessary because we lack sufficient clarity and unity to speak truthfully. I am afraid that until we have such focus, we are not ready to win. The very fact that it is necessary tells me that victory is not yet close.

The Islamo-fascists are doing their damnest to see to it that we gain that focus. More unspeakable violence awaits us. Once the majority of the citizenry feel the fear of loss of their life and liberty in their very bones, then we will be prepared to win.

True - good reason to be thankful. He has dealt honestly and with clear focus on this, quite unlike the previous President whom I will not name.

It takes more than a leader to lead. Churchill was pushed aside by his people before and after the war. Only when the war was upon them did the British welcome his leadership. The Soviets were standing astride decades of unthwarted advances, and seriously threatening our annihilation, when finally Americans were sufficiently unified to back Reagan.

No where near enough Americans yet understand the current threat.

They will, but man's seemingly inexhaustible capacity to commit violence against other humans will first be put on grave display, yet one more time.
