AP- Harry Whittington, 78, was "alert and doing fine"

You can't take a 78 year old on a hunting trip! They shuffle and stumble about, not paying good enough attention to what is going on.

One moment you count on them standing behind on your right and then next thing they are on the left in your line of fire!

A 78 year old is only good for taking to the restaurant so you can make sure they get stuck with the bill. Hunting? No Way!

All depends upon the person. My dad at 78 was probably more spry and hard workingly enegetic than most 40 year olds. I remember him insisting he would help me paint a house when he was 79 and it was 106 degrees outside.

I would be more concerned about a youngster of 15 to 25 that was new to the sport.
