In some form or fashion, I have known the players in what I am about to describe as a series of regrettable moments at the funeral of Coretta Scott King.

The one I know least, President George W. Bush, won both my sympathy and respect for gallantly enduring the slings and arrows pointed directly at him during what should have been a celebration of a great woman, but instead turned into a political rally

As always, amazing if someone doesn't know about it, they still feel they are an expert when it comes time to make a comment. See, here we have a case of someone (you) who has a need to be, or at least a need to pretend to be someone of great importance. This is all relative of course, (importance, that is), and subjective of course, but I can think of no other reason why you would write as you do and continue to attack me as if I am someone you deeply despise fro some reason. Well, one reason actually that I can think of for this - you are a blowhard with a large ego and cannot stand to not be a legend in your own mind. If you are such a man such a great person, then I present to you a challenge. A real man would not ignore the challenge, yes? especially when it is reasonable by any measure. Can we agree on this? You will respond?

So, here it is: You have asserted upon several occasions that I have mentioned Rosa Parks (latest example - 'I can't believe that you still say you didn't mention Rosa Parks')

Once again, (as you have yet failed to show me so far when I asked you to) I want you to show me where I mentioned rosa parks. You can't do it because it didn't happen.

So, rather than address that fact, what will most certainly happen is that you instead will completely ignore it, and will come up with some additional nonsense. The reason is that anything you write here must consider YOU first and foremost, without regard to objectivity, opposing points of view, or anything that you are not aware of. (ie, if I don't know about it, it doesn;t exist) Unless your ego is satisfied, you will not be able to sleep soundly at night and you will walk around every day, go through life with a grudge, with an attitude, with a problem unless and only if you are able to have satisfied yourself that you have 'bested' me. If you can, within the continuous dialogue that we all have in our minds, tell yourself that you are 'the best', then and only then can you move on to your next conquest.

Grammar and spelling sub par, is another of your accusations. First of all, what does it matter? Am I writing a thesis here, or is this a forum for political dicussion? (It matters because it is an example of how you use ad hominum attacks and fallacies of logic to spout your nonsense.) This is always a trademark fallback position when all else fails. So for you, you need to cast upon me the 'grammar is sub-par' position because you don't have too much else to argue.

Let me know when you want to test this, this sub-par grammar. I am tempted here to defend myself on this topic, but will not. Maybe we can just leave it at this: what special qualifications do you personally hold that would make your accusation about grammar, etc., worth seriousw consideration by anyone??
As to who between the two of us is better read and has superior grammar skills, I will challenge you on this any time, day place. AGAIN, regarding your response to this, I would fully expect your typical approach, a diversionary action of some type to avoid the issue and still maintain your sense of superiority and purpose here.

Regarding this thread, I spent almost the whole time responding mainly to accusations about my character (and when this is necessary there usually is very little opportunity for mature relevent debate) with 99% of them (accusations) uneccessary. I would imagine if only the accusers, followers of the herd, and those of your ilk would have taken more than 6 seconds to read what I have written there would be no need for such ridiculous statements such as your recent "You spent an entire thread being a jerk and NOW you want to say it's satire??" You fall into this category, no interest in issues, lots of interest in satisfying the need to be important in your own mind. Regarding satire, I mentioned it to you because it most definitely became clear to me that you actually think that I think CS King was an integral part of the movement because she refused to move from her bus seat. I gave you the opportunity at that point to refute or at least respond to this, which again, using your m.o., you have ignored, and the whole thing then, as regards you has become laughable. You really think I was serious when I suggested CS King 'rode the bus', that is all. You cannot be man enough to say that perhaps you misunderstood what I wrote. And 'NOW', as you say,(your post here which I respond to) is not the only time I have said it is satire. This is further evidence that you only want to bash people (or at least me) rather than have a mature argument, because it tells me you didn't read everything I wrote, only what you wanted to read to suit you position to bash me.

I am not so certain that the adulations bestowed upon her are a result of her efforts as much as they are the result of a collective guilt.

I said at the time of the funeral what I truly believe, that I saw no evidence that anybody outside a segment of the black population really gave much of a damn about Coretta King. Attendance at the funerally was a political necessity, however, which only Barbara Bush could apparently transcend with impunity. Everyone else was there because they needed to be, or for what advantage they thought they could draw from the appearance.

Man, this thread turned into an egg toss.

I believe President Bush deserves great credit and the highest applause for not falling into a Democratic trap. It took huge amounts of self control for him to be above all that. If he had said anything in response, the media would have bleated like sheep that he used the somber occasion to attack his political enemies. You would have practically seen cabs and buses driving by screaming these headlines: "Bush, not Hillary is mean," and "President a Christian? Not with these remarks." He did the right thing.

Now a question. Who lies in state next? Jesse Jackson? We have become such a bunch of sheep and lemmings that we fear speaking up about many issues for fear of being called a racist. That has to end. We've been cowtowing to angry people for more than 40 years now. And there is no pacifying large groups of black Americans who are accustomed to the welfare state and can put up the "racist" defense at any time to stop debate. Many of them now want reparations for slavery. There is no end to the words or nuances that can trigger the "racism" accusation. We all walk around on eggshells because of it.

Segregation was a sick practice not worthy of America. It had to end. We ended it. But now we have to stop honoring this secular religious worship of the Civil Rights Movement. We saw at this funeral what Lowery and others stand for: reverse racism and angry, selfish, socialism.

Otherwise get ready to say amen at Jesse's funeral.
