LIVE THREAD: SJC hearing on the NSA surveilance program - C-span 1; 9:30 am EST

Posted on 02/06/2006 6:08:53 AM PST by ken5050

Good Monday morning, once again, fellow political jinkies. The NFL season may be over, but the political season inside the Beltway is 24/7/365. So join us, if you can, as those wacky Dems on the Senate Judiciary committee reprise their pitiful efforts to once again smear President Bush and score political points..

what a joke that is. this specific monitoring aside, all these senators know exactly what the NSA protocols are, and have been for DECADES, regarding overseas communications. and now they want to cut the funding for it?

With you on that one, mystery .. never lived in such a brainwashed, party and union-whipped place. I'm tellin' ya ... they still don't get it. They have their "factions," but they are consistently exhibiting dumb and dumber responses in their laughable failure to acknowledge the immense tools we have, and the new power that resides with the citizenry .. over which they have NO control.

They fail to grasp that their axis of evil is being watched, recorded and documented 24/7 from dozens of outposts. The legs of their arrogant pedestals are being chipped away, one splinter and one lie at a time. And for the most clearcut description of their slimy snakepit, see my current tagline.

PS, Just saw Gonzalez on FNC answer Feingfold's outrageous inference that he was lying .. Gonzalez was really cool and impressive, and from what I've read ..he's carrying the torch high. I can't stand to listen to the "Constitutional Impairment Party" today and still work efficiently. Really appreciate all the updates. Peach, you're awesome!

Bringing up the Ames/Search history is also a weak argument. There was a FISA surveillance law, and Clinton -DID- get warrants for the electronic surveaillance.

Gonzales brought up the central point that "What right does the Congress have to curtail the powers of the President to conduct war in a time of war? FISA may actually be unconstitutional.

Let's all call, e-mail, and urge him to bring it to the floor.

Somebody obviously harangued him during the lunch hour.

Rush wondered aloud (as I did over the weekend) where all these Muslims got Danish flags so quickly

I heard this morning that some Muslims created more cartoons in order to incite more anger.... very credible radio host. (Archives aren't up yet, so I can't determine his source quite yet.) So much for not blaspheming against Mohammed. Just how did they draw the cartoons without being hypocritical? Oh yeah, the same way they set embassies on fire, arguing that theirs is a religion of peace.

I think it's about time we get some heavy lifters in congress: guys like Hugh Hewitt, Mark Levin, Tom Liddy, etc. Good communications guys that would argue and gete before the cameras to tell the TRUTH! We need to "OUT" the traitors in our congress!
