There's not time. I agree that would be the UN's usual way of (not) dealing with the situation, but I do believe that the major powers see this coming to a crisis sooner rather than later. I have a really bad feeling about this, especially when combined with the idiocy in the islamofacist world about these stupid cartoons. These people make me sick. What about our right not to be offended by them?

Iran's leaders are about as bright as Saddam. Military action by the US is inevitable.

Right on! Similar to the 14 UN Resolutions against Saddam Hussein! Although this time survival exigencies may trigger action a little sooner than in a decade.

March is the due date for Iran's nuclear test - probably of the underground type. ETA March 19th. While the nuke expected to be exploded is a "big old thing", it will be meant to underline Iran's scare tactic, threat profile rather than their actual capability to deploy a missile launched nuclear weapon.

"3 words. Unrestricted submarine warfare."

Oh, looking for the link of news story that just recently, Donald Rumsfeld just ordered a retrofit of several nuclear trident missles to be fitted with conventional warheads. In the article was quoted as being for Iranian situation.

Perhaps Belarus needed a show of independence from Russia and the other powers that be. Their long time president (read dictator) is facing another "election" this year. They have also refused a US and EU meet in their country concerning their elections.

It means we waste more time. Bush bowed to the EU and went the diplomatic route -- which everyone knew would never work. The end is in sight and it ain't pretty.

We have gone "the diplomatic route" because our best assessment is that we can afford the time.

Despite various media reports, nobody in the general public knows the state of Iranian nuclear weapons development. But the POTUS knows, and that is driving our current strategy.

How many resolutions need to be ignored before the UN double-dog-dares Iran? When will Scott Ritter and Hans be moving to Iran?
