DU report #1:

From a column over there:
"To maintain their hold on the power that allows them to do these things, they have also pandered shamelessly to the ideological fantasies of a narrow but influential segment of extreme social conservatives, engaged in brazen and repulsive propaganda initiatives, and used those same powers to block legitimate enquiries into the activities of Executive Branch staff and appointees."

Synopsis of comments so far:

-They compared Dr. Tom to Mengele
(Can I call Godwin??)
-Talking about the Whig Party
-Last gasp hopes of a filibuster, calling Kerry's office
-Making fun of Inouye's name

More later. They've only had 48 comments all morning compared to our 194 (at this moment).

I'm listening to RUSH right now, and during the breaks the local news keeps breaking in cantwell will vote "NO" because Alito hasn't shown himself to be sufficiently "Independent". Well, one, we knew how she'd vote. Two, when did Hillary let Cantwell off her puppet strings? Funny one of the least Independent members of the Senate would use that as a talking point. Half of them are beholden to Liberal groups, then there are those like Cantwell not even that Independent since she jumps at Hillary's snap.
