I actually don't think that's true either. I think it's all the label. I live here and yes there are a lot of liberals, but even then, when you get away from the labels, they are more conservative than the two Senators.

1.7 million MA residents voted for Romney.

R's don't do well here in part because most of what we get are RINOs and why go Dem lite when it's so easy to get the real thing.

The other obstacle is that they do not know what Republican really means because someone has jammed into their heads that R's behave exactly like the worst of the union thuggery of yore.
