Sen. Hillary Clintons (D-NY) fundraising committee from 2000 has reached a settlement with the Federal Election Commission concerning $700,000 in donations given during a celebrity gala in California, the New York Sun reports. Clintons committee will pay $35,000, thus ending the inquiry into a complaint filed in 2001 by an entrepreneur who financed the fund-raising concert, Peter Paul.

Pretty horrible news. Hillary will not get her day in court.

Judicial Watch has not been involved in this case for some time. They screwed it up while they were involved.

I have no idea, but campaign groups get sanctioned every so often which isn't the same as applying it to the elected official, Clinton. It's a shame that campaigns flaunt the process at times and often receive very little punishment.
Now if something else happens in the court system that will be another topic. But the FEC has spoken and they got a small fine.

I knew about this a few days ago. The civil suit goes forward. The Justice Department should be indicting Andrew Grossman. Our film, INDICTING HILLARY, will tell the real story.

Hillary didn't lose this at all. I remember the excitements of freepers when it was revealed Hillary might have a larger trial later this year, where the options would have been perjure or resign, not a cheap settlement.

Let us see if Andrew Grossman is indicted. He should have been indicted either with or instead of David Rosen.

I will be reporting direct from the civil trial later this year. Hillary, Bill, and many others will be under oath.
