Nah, only LIBERAL U.S. Jews seem to have a problem with religious conservatives.

Conservative Jews voted for Bush, and dems woiuld be out of luch, if they lost the Jewish vote. But I think the location ( NY) is as important as the designation Jew. My daughter married into a NY Jewish family, and they are not at all religous. However, they stick together and all think the same. They don't know any Christians or any Republicans, so they fall for the scaremomngering and scapegoating of religious right that dems have done for years. My ex is active in the democratic club of Jewish retirees in Boca Raton, Fl. He expresses exasperation at the importance of the Israel issue to some.

By the way, don't forget that our landmark Iraq election is soon to be followed by a Palestinian election in January. It looks to me as if Bush/Rice are moving that roadmap right along. Since they have no oil there, it must just be to get votes and make the dems mad, don't you think?
