Today, Senator Daniel Inouye, the Ranking Member of the Defense Appropriations Subcommittee and a recipient of the Medal of Honor for his service in World War II, released the following statement:

"As a Veteran of World War II, I know what it’s like to fight a war and put your life on the line every day. I also know what it takes to win a war, and I know that politics and an attack machine like the President’s plays no part in it.

"The Republican Party’s latest ad is a shameful and disgusting attempt to distract the American people from the problems in Iraq. It may improve the President’s political fortunes, but the American people and our troops will pay the price. I hope that President Bush realizes how shameful it is to play politics when what we really need is leadership, and that he will direct his Party to take down this ad immediately."

Apparently the Rats can do whatever they want, and the Republicans are supposed to bend over and take it all without complaint.

Well, maybe not anymore.

Screw you, Senator Inouye.

The MOH was awarded belatedly and conferred by Clinton. Inouye was among a number of Japanese-Americans honored with the MOH more than 50 years after the event.

Yeah, they think uniforms are going to put them over the edge. Thing is it's mightly curious how they have so many lined up that "served" in Iraq in such a short span to run for Congress. Unless it was planned to do a short stint to get the creds and then ditch Iraq for the campaign trail. Like Hackett. The real wariors are re-enlisting. Make them explain what motivated them to join and then cut and run so soon. A number of Kerry Jr.'s isn't going to get the Dems far. It didn't get kerry beyond MASS.

Wait a minute! Is the spokesman implying that the words that Kerry is saying are "filthy, slimey lie?" or is he saying the use of them are lies? If the latter, how would the use of them be a lie?

Sounds to me like the classic liberal mantra of "you've got the interpretation all wrong, what I meant to say...uh...hold on...I'm proposing an environmental policy..."

As a Veteran of World War II, I know what it’s like to fight a war and put your life on the line every day.

Senator, as a veteran of World War II, surely you know how important it is to confront the enemies of America at home and abroad, and fight them rather than surrender to them. Many of America's enemies in this war are right here at home. In fact, many of them are your buddies in the Senate on the Democrat side of the aisle. The words and actions of a Kerry or a Kennedy are every bit as corrosive and dangerous to the future of freedom as were the words and actions of Tokyo Rose. You're shooting your mouth off in the wrong direction, Senator...

The title, "Senator Calls on Bush to Take Down Attack AD", should be changed to, "Senator Calls on Bush to Take Down TRUTH Ad". I have viewed the ad and there isn't one single word that is not true. Not one word.

Good grief, one would think that guys like Inoyue and Murtha would refuse the latrine duty of walking point for treason addicts like their fellow Democrats.

"I bet you Bush will. The republicans now a days are worse than the French."

Doesn't matter now, they've been exposed already. The damage is done.

That may be true.... but the problem (or at least one of the big problems) is that the Dims & left-wing media have been screaming ever since last Nov 2 that BUSH LIED! It took Bush 10 months to rouse from his stupor before he counter attacked and even then it was only for a couple of weeks and then he reverted back to his pandering & appeasing of the DimWits.... including as many accolades as possible that he & the other Repukes could heap on "Cowards cut & run" John Murtha.

So I think the Repubs need to keep blaring out this message loud and clear, and if they had any balls they (the RNC) would run this in television ads across the nation.

I give this ad less than a week before GW Bush and the Repubs capitulate and pull it.

I agree with your brother. But the media is very, very powerful. We can come together and shoot down some of their lies, but most of them get through to the stupid masses, who repeat them as gospel.

We've got a long way to go before the lying, weasel, Bolshevik media is really injured. They are like a 50 headed hydra.

I hope someone in the Republican Party, a US Veteran go ot and say When the Democrats start supporting the troops instead of investigating them, and when Howard Dean is fired, and many Democrats start behaving like they want us to win the war.

Then will pull the ads
