"We'll let the members debate it and then let them vote on it," said Rep. Roy Blunt, R-Mo., the acting majority leader.
Looks as though Hastert is out of town and somebody with some guts finally called the libs at their own silly game.
I'm with ya Roy - give 'em hell

Well, its about time the Republican party grew a spine. Guess they got the message. To bad it took many of us no longer giving financially to Republican causes and letting them know as much. Time will tell. Meanwhile, grab the popcorn and watch the show.

I get the feeling the Republican Senators that voted yes didn't understand how that monstrosity would be perceived. Now the lower House can come out smelling like a rose by urging victory - the Senators can rally around and save face.

Will we see dozens of Democratic Congressman suddenly become "unavailable" to vote?

The way to lead the troops is by being in front of them not behind them.
The WH finally means business.
If the cowards on the Left want to surrender, let them state their case tonight.

(The right wants victory, the left wants surrender. It's that simple.)
Debate at 6PM - tentative schedule. If you show up at 7PM, you'll be late.

What happens .. since the "polls say this" that the Dem's actually vote and so do a bunch of Rhino's vote to pull out troops?
Yes we will see the true colors, but it will definitely send the wrong message world wide.
Republicans better send in a UNITED front on this.

This is great....seems like a no-win situation for the Dems:
-- If they decide to support the troops by vote, then they'll be backtracking on their own rhetoric.
-- If they vote (and the vote passes) to bring the troops home, and the Iraq situation implodes, they'll have no one to blame but themselves.
Brilliant! They have to be in a disarray right about now!
