Well, it can only be the future if the conservatives who pull the wagons continue to pull that wagon. However, if they hitch up and move that wagon to other states, it won't be long until judgement day arrives.
You may be right, but in all likelihood the feds will simply put California on permanent relief. People in the other 49 states will then have to drag California along. The Democrats will surely support this, and so will the GOP (wrongly thinking that by doing so they'll have a chance to make a comeback there).
