Gongratulations and thanks for working on the front lines in the Pro Life movement! God bless you!

Ignore HitmanNY, as his manifest intent is to depress people.

Alameda will be more than offset by what's left of San Bernadino and Riverside. The real question is whether what's left of Orange and San Diego counties will trump Los Angeles - or even if L.A. county's large Catholic/Hispanic population will vote yes on 73.

Of course he should have. The CA Republican Party is CRAP and clearly the top losers in the bunch were advising Arnold. If only we had our own Karl Rove so the party could get a clue.

It didn't help when it got shackled with the title including "Education spending limits." Courtesy of the Democrat Bill Lockyer.

Yes its still very close. How was the Catholic Church on this one. Did they tell their people to stand and vote FOR LIFE?

The difference in numbers is very close:

73 is only losing by 30,667 votes
74 is losing by 140,495 votes
75 is only winning by 62,406 votes

Sorry my comments annoy you but clearly 73 shouldn't have been anywhere near controversial as it is. Even if it eeks it out, the fact that its so close to 50-50 is amazing.

My suggestion is to dedicate resources to impact peoples minds regarding issues like this one, partial birth abortion, federal funds for abortions, etc. Grassroots stuff, advertising, religious, whatever it takes.

I think a consensus that is favorable to pro lifers could be cultivated on those issues. I think a consensus that is favorable to pro lifers in regards to whether abortion should be legal or not is far, far off.

much more conservative than our president

i've been pleasantly surprised by my governor here in California, but on what do you base your above comment? Bush is against abortion... he's not for gay marriage... where is Arnold more conservative than the President?

No it's not. And with the counties that haven't been fully counted, I don't see any winning. 73 has the best chance IMO because of high Hispanic concentration still to be counted.

So far, Prop. 73 is creeping back up. Slowly, but it is going back up.

Los Angeles COUNTY, unlike the city of Los Angeles, only leans slightly to the left. Right now 73 is narrowly failing and 75 is narrowly passing in LA county.

There's still hope. San Bernardino + OC should put us over the top

My dog in the hunt is that I don't want minors to be able to get abortions without their parents finding out anywhere.

There is still a fairly significant number of votes out in the conservative backwaters to count, if the turnout in LA and some of the remaining bay area counties don't push things to far out over the edge, 75 and 73 may still sueak thru.

No, he has a terrible speech impediment. So does Bruce Willis... I'm not defending him, just stating fact... I can't stand him and no longer can stand Annete Benning since she goes along with his leftie politics.
