We used to understand implicitly how powerful genetic connections are. We've made a concerted effort to minimize it in our modern society but evidence of it keeps bubbling up.

Many have not told their wives or children and have never considered the implications of having a dozen offspring suddenly wanting to meet them.
You know what? I say, "Tough." If you didn't think that technology would improve to the point that you could be traced, that's your own fault.

Just wait till the government starts tracking these dead-"beat" dads down for back child support. I mean if a one night stand satisifies the requirement of conveying responsibility why not a syringe? Personally I think kids who are conceived in such ways should grow up and sue their absent parents and their parents for child neglect for purposely choosing not to have a father in the household. The doctors who facilitated the procedure should also be held liable. People need to know that there are consequences for their actions especially when they result in children who are left with a twisted version of a family because of the selfishness of their "parents".

"The case shows that there are ethical and social concerns about assisted reproduction that we did not think about," says Trudo Lemmens, a bioethicist at the University of Toronto, Canada. Ooh We being proponents of sperm banks, who made fun of people who warned of these obvious repercussions.
