Can't Arlen EVER be a true republican. Just once. It's also worrisome because methinks that they're delaying it strategically to keep O'Connor on the bench to hear particular cases. Can Chief Justice Roberts, if he suspects that is what's happening, delay the presenting of that case (until the confirmation hearing has completed)? I probably know the answer to that one, but I had to ask.

It isn't Specter's fault for the delay. Congress always adjourns early -- every year, period.
