The plan is to place those who qualify on subsidized housing for 2 years pd by the developer, (relocation to a place not of their choosing and not even near the VA for the disabled vets).
Only ONE commissioner voted against the new ordinance and the county commission doesn't even have the authority to pass an ordinance but they are doing it anyway.
Sometimes I don't know if this County is marxist or communist. The guy who drew up the ordinance says that if someone owes a mortgage on their manufactured housing, they'll just have to file for bankruptcy.
The developer is supposed to pay for the relocation housing but where to? Adequate and suitable is kind of fuzzy. They are going to ruin hundreds of lives for Greer's developer friends.
It didn't matter but Commissioner John Morroni stuck up for the little guy. He felt bad that some people have already been displaced three times by Greer's developer friends. Didn't matter in the final vote.
If you need a bad example for what's wrong with Amerika, google Pinellas County.
