Tony's guests and topics on today's show include:
Cut the Fat!
Sen. Tom Coburn (R-OK) has proven to be the crusader for sensible federal spending, going so far as to identify wasteful programs by name on the Senate floor.
Governor Nuge
Like the sound of that? The rumors are that rocker Ted Nugent is considering a run for the governorship of Michigan. Will he confirm or deny?
American Ripoff
Conservative groups are blasting doll company American Girl, Inc., for donating money to a group that supports abortion. But Tony can't stand the company because the dolls cost so much money.

"Woof" is used in broadcasting to say "stop," "that's enough" or to mark a specific point in time
-- which is what is done in this case. "Tony's show starts in 3 minutes: WOOF!" Means in 3 minutes from-- NOW!
Bump!
But... I thought they would give it to the strippers...
Damn, can't they do anything right?
Here's the quarter.
Yaaaawwwwnnn...sure is!
Blanco--blech! She's spending the money for an equine center! Sheesh.......
She should never be given a penny....it should just be poured into Lake Ponchetraine!
They had a clip on FNC last night of Ted defending his "Million Dollar Bridge" on the floor of the Senate. He said he would resign if the Senate denied his state the bridge! Ummmmm, two benefits to be had there, yes?
13?
As far as "Bridge to Nowhere" Ted is concerned.....bring it on! He should never threaten what people are wanting anyway!
We'll be playing that clip a little later. Poor little Senator. So sad.
SL, took me a minute to figure it out. Funny!
Mornin' RP! Is Tony back home this mornin'? Guess it's chaos around there, huh?
Lets pray that the Senate will deny it.
Ugh...don't ask.

Perfect Hatred
Read:
|
Tell me what you hate and I can tell you a great deal about yourself. Hatred can be the strong side of righteousness, but it needs a sign written on it with large red letters: Handle With Care.
Olive Moore, the 19th-century English writer, put words to this warning: "Be careful with hatred. . . . Hatred is a passion requiring one hundred times the energy of love. Keep it for a cause, not an individual. Keep it for intolerance, injustice, stupidity. For hatred is the strength of the sensitive. Its power and its greatness depend on the selflessness of its use."
We tend to waste our hatred on insignificant slights and differences. Comments made by a political opponent may draw our venom. Angry letters written to the editor often raise trivia to the level of significance because of the pathology of our misdirected hatred. Churches fracture and split when hatred is directed at people and not at the forces around us that destroy life and hope.
The old Methodist circuit riders were described as men who hated nothing but sin. They took seriously the admonitions of the psalmist, "You who love the Lord, hate evil!" (Psalm 97:10), and of the prophet Amos who urged his hearers to "hate evil, love good" (Amos 5:15). Haddon Robinson
If you can't hate what is evil, you can't love what is good.
He got his bridge...guess he won't quit.
The problem with being rich is that you have to insulate yourself from greedy people looking for lawsuits. Being rich AND famous would be even worse.
If I were rich I think I would live pretty much the same way I do now except I would have a couple of new cars and I would chase the races most of the year.
That's true. But the more you have the more dependent on others you are to help you with the upkeep of those properties. I have a rich aunt that at one time owned three homes in three states. She told me that extra homes were a hassle for that very reason. She said buy land and travel. Off course, I don't think she is as rich as those NASCAR drivers.
Isn't it nice that the posting problem is fixed? I don't feel like I am on delay mode.
I will be fading in and out for the next hour here, but I will check in and try to catch up later.
