I have an American Girl catalog sitting next to me at this moment that I was going to give to one of my daughters for her little girl. Guess I know where it's going now. I can't afford those dolls anyway. $90 for a doll? $20 for 1 outfit?
Maybe American Girl out to make an AMerican Girl Abortion Baby Doll with fake blood and mutilated baby. Instead of the Doll house they can sell an Abortion Mill. Instead of the Travel Trailor the can sell a Bus that goess through poor Black Neighborhood doll town looking for those wanting free services back at the Abortion Mill.
Whatcha think?
Aw, cheez. My girlies just started reading this series and I like them.
Why do they always have to go wreck a good product with dumb ass politicking?
Aargh!
I don't like this. I have enrolled my grand-daughter in the "American Girl" club, started her American Girls doll collection when she was barely able to stand, and encouraged her in all things American Girl. I shall have to write the company and complain. I don't want my 9 year old grand-daughter exposed the sh___ that organization puts out.
I'll have to actually see that before I believe it. We've been reading AG books and some have a very strong pro-Christian message. Not evangelical by any means, but some of the historical stories nclude God, family prayer, etc. That being said, it wouldn't be the first time that a moral, family-oriented became corrupted with the arrival of a new CEO or whatever.
Pleasant Rowland sold Pleasant Company to Mattel a few years ago. Boycott Mattel!

I just perused their site and found nothing about them suporting Planned Parenthood.
Can you post more info please?
Are you sure it's not the Girl Scouts that you are referring to? I understand they are actively in partnership with Planned Parenthood.
Unless it's through United Way (which is possible) it's not trumpeted on their web site.

Proof please.
Well, being Planned Parenthood is like a cancer aborting mosty Black and Brown babies in the inner cities, those dolls better all be of color.
Planned Parenthood from what I read was started by a woman who hated black people, Margaret Sanger.
On blacks, immigrants and indigents:
"...human weeds,' 'reckless breeders,' 'spawning... human beings who never should have been born." Margaret Sanger, Pivot of Civilization, referring to immigrants and poor people.
On sterilization & racial purification:
Sanger believed that, for the purpose of racial "purification," couples should be rewarded who chose sterilization. Birth Control in America, The Career of Margaret Sanger, by David Kennedy, p. 117, quoting a 1923 Sanger speech.
On the right of married couples to bear children:
Couples should be required to submit applications to have a child, she wrote in her "Plan for Peace." Birth Control Review, April 1932
On the purpose of birth control:
The purpose in promoting birth control was "to create a race of thoroughbreds," she wrote in the Birth Control Review, Nov. 1921
On the rights of the handicapped and mentally ill, and racial minorities:
"More children from the fit, less from the unfit -- that is the chief aim of birth control." Birth Control Review, May 1919, p. 12
IF American Girl has aligned itself with Planned Parenthood in any way, it will be the biggest blunder a corporation has made in a long time. It will also indicate that they have no idea who their 'base' is, and I find it hard to believe that such a successful company would do something so stupid.
I've been to the AG store in Chicago several times, and ya just gotta hand it to anyone who can find a niche like they have. The tea room has high chairs for little girls' AG dolls. There is a doll hospital and a doll hair salon. There is a theater featuring an American Girls musical. Your little girl can dress exactly like her doll for any occasion, including Halloween costumes. The whole concept is a stunning example of American ingenuity and capitalism in action.
Dd isn't going to get one of those dolls until she can show me that she can take care of her $6 Barbies, which usually end up naked and dismembered.

Support the Roe V. Wade decision.
Their curriculum is geared toward protecting a girls right to choose
Depending on the local chapter, they have the freedom to promote planned parenthood and abortion clinics.
American Girl products are pricey, but we always felt that it was good to promote chidren's toys and books that are positive and teach about history. Needless to say, the order I put in last night will be the last, and I will be certain to tell them why, by sending letters to all branches of the company, letting them know that they have lost my family from their list of customers, which includes grandparents, Aunts and uncles and friends.

The material presented here wasn't as detailed as I wanted so I called the offices in both New York and D.C. for confirmation on this.
and here is the link from American Girl for purchasing the "I Can" American girl Bracelet.

I have written American Girl Doll Co. They claim they are not involved in any campaigns to support anyone, including Planned Parenthood.
