There's no way in $&%@$# I would ever vote for Judas McCain. And if the GOP would be so stupid as to nominate him for President, they will lose my vote.

This is no idle threat. I don't care who the Democrats run. I am NOT voting for Judas McCain.

Repubs will have no one decent and a household name to run...we're pretty much screwed. I can't wait to secede once the Whore of Babylon wins...

McCain will run against Hillary, the conservative base will stay home.....and he will lose. Just as well, it's better to have a commie democrat as president than a commie republican. When CW2 breaks out it will be blamed on the democrats.

His comments on spending and immigration were in line with the animating spirit of Republican primary electorates, even if some of the measures he continues to support (McCain-Kennedy, the McCain-Lieberman bill on global warming, campaign-finance regulation) are not.

That doesn't make sense. His bill with Kennedy is softer on illegals than the rest of the party, but somehow his "comments" are "in line with the animating spirit" of Republican primary voters? Looks like New Age mumbo-jumbo.

If the choice in 2008 is between John McCain and Hillary Rotten, I'll take the maverick from Arizona. Mccain is pro-military, pro-life, opposes pork barrel spending and has supported tax cuts before.

WTF am I saying! LOL

McCain is this season's rock star, having followed Guiliani and Condoleeza Rice. I still think three years is enough time for somebody better suited to gain name recognition (how many people outside of Arkansas had heard of The Bent One in 1990?) As far as the Dimmiecrats go, they may actually start looking beyond the Hildebeast (who won't be electable for anything higher than Senator) for someone like Mike Warner or even Joe Lieberman in a bid to move away from the hardcore antiwar lefties and make some claim to the middle.

McCain was positively glowing about Bush's speech yesterday, calling it one of the best he had ever given. It was nice to hear that, as Bush's words got so little press. It was indeed a magnificent speech,

McCain is a loser. The Vietnamese screwed him up. Not his fault. He's a Dem nightmare though. He won't get the support of the party faithful, because he's not a team player. Mavericks can't win. I should know, I've been described as a maverick. Mavericks are often principled people, but by their nature devalue loyalty.

Maybe the Bushes rely too much on loyalty, but if you can't be loyal, what kind of administration would you have? Disloyal people will be coming out of the woodwork. Imaging a Wilson every month undermining his policies.

I'm suprised that Michael Barone was conned so completely.
McCain would be a disaster for the country. He is as phony as a three dollar bill.

The mere mention of this jerk's name makes my blood boil. I can say in all honesty I will never, ever vote for this ego-maniac. I'm a big Barone fan, but he lost me on this one.

You will have to drive nails through my feet to fasten me to the floor to keep me from going to the primary voting machine to cast my vote against John McCain.
