Thanks for that link about Angela...I did not realize that she had been nominated so many times, yet never won...I also loved, Murder She Wrote....it was my dearly departed moms favorite program of all time...

My mom had Alzheimers...as she progressed further and further into her disease, she of course got things mixed up...whenever she wanted to know if Murder She Wrote was coming on, she would ask me, "Is it time yet for Miss Marble?"...now to understand her question, one must realize that Angela had played Miss Marple in an Agatha Christie mystery....and mom got Jessica Fletcher and Miss Marple somehow mixed up in her poor Alzheimers ridden mind...she even had Miss Marples name wrong...she called her 'Miss Marble'....so when she asked for Miss Marble I knew what she was asking for...

What always puzzled me about that series was the location of the series...it was supposed to take place in Cabot Cove, in New England...but in fact, it was filmed in Mendocino California, a very lovely scenic town on the Pacific coast...why they had to infer, that the action took place in New England is something I fail to understand...

A carpenter who helped to build many of the sets on the Murder She Wrote location, was also a carpenter used by my aunt...when I had a ramp built onto my parents house, ,to help them get in and out of their house rather then using the stairs, this same carpenter built their ramp, and attatched it to their house...a nice man...

In "Murder by Death" (Neil Simon) the take off on Miss Marple was called Jessica Marbles.

Good memories. I used to watch the show every Sunday with my grandmother. We'd watch the Agatha Christie films too and I'd borrow her mystery novels sometimes as well. She would often call the series "Murder She Said" which I didn't know then but later discovered was a 1961 film's title. It's a Miss Marple mystery.

Amazing what memory and advanced age can transpose. As long as we know what they mean, it's all that really matters.
