Just my opinion:
I know it's fun to hope Sandy Berger is implicated someway in shutting down Able Danger. But Able Danger was a Pentagon project. I think it far more likely Bill Cohen, Secretary of Defense, or Hugh Shelton, Chairman Joint Chiefs, ordered Able Danger dismantled after Pentagon lawyers proclaimed it 'illegal'.

Those lawyers didn't have a clue about specific terrorists. They were only concerned with the military, via Able Danger, violating the rights of legitimate American citizens.

I always felt that Sandy Burglar was protecting someone and had direct orders to do so no matter what he had to do. Burglar, as NSA Director, knew exactly what he was doing and for whom.

I think it goes much, much higher than Sandy and who/what was protected by the destroyed/missing documents.

A man doesn't do something as careless as that without some sort of impetus/threat.

I don't think that Burglar had anything to do with Able Danger at the time. His timeframe was more after the fact and the cleanup.

If you listened to Jerry Doyle staurday night you would have heard the implication of Berger, Gorelick, Deutch in the destruction of Able Danger data.
