it is an irrelevent argument. As I said in my last reply to rdb3, it's not fair but that's just the way people are. You can either let it make angry and go homicidal or develope an ulcer, or you can just shake your head and thank God that you are not that small a person.
Either way complaining about it does no good. It is up to the members of that community who do care about right and wrong to stand up and lead. It is up to them to show where Jesse and Mfumi, and Farakan are wrong. Take issue with Maxine Waters when she bad mouths President Bush. Write John Conyers a letter conveying disagreement with his campaign of hatred against Bush.
Otherwise your just wasting oxygen.
It is the deafening silence by conservative blacks which condemns them. Just as it has been the silence of the anti-al Qaeda arabs which condemns them.
Now I agree when you are talking about specific "individuals" causing problems. And these "individuals" you mention are persons that are IMO making victims of their "followers" and trying to keep those followers victimized in their own minds...sometimes leading to violence, drugs, etc....only a percentage of blacks fit into that category...many young blacks are breaking out of this cycle everyday (some are not even in it).
And everyday a percentage of whites fall prey to violence and drugs also, it is just that their pied pipers have a lower profile.
