Hurricane Ophelia continues to churn off the off the coast of the Carolinas with a track that has confounded computer models and meteorologists for days. Hurricane watches are issued for much of the SC and NC coastline. Northern GA and southern VA coastal areas are currently within the three day cone of uncertainty. Check local NWS service for updates.

Holden Beach,Sunset Beach,Oak Island,Southport,Ocean Isle Beach,Calabash,Bald Head Island,Caswell Beach,Shallotte,Bolivia,Leland. They are all in Brunswick County,which is next to Wilmington in New Hanover County.That's where I am.
The accu-weather guy on Fox is still predicting landfall near the South-North Carolina border.
Not a pretty picture..........even though it has her back out in the ocean before getting as far north as me.
Those models have changed umpteen times in the past few days and even today. They have no clue. Watch them...they will change again and again.

I generally listen to a Rehobeth talk station on FM, because they carry Rush. I believe that it is about 0.5 watt output, and they apparently use squirrels on a treadmill to generate the power. Unfortunately, the mortality rate among the squirrels is rather high. When I walk around the room, the signal in my CC (Communist Chinese) radio fades in and out.
When I listen to the local talk, I am amazed. Simply amazed. I grew up about 2 miles from West Virginia, and I sometimes feel that I am back there.
