"If they evacuate the city, the Army and the rest of the rescue workers are free to work on restoring the city. Crime would cease and the general population would not be an issue."

I disagree... evacuate those who don't have a home...evacuate those who don't own a home or business. But in the areas where business owners and home owners can take care of themselves; let them stay and clean up their own neighborhoods. At some point in this mess, property owners and their rights on their own personal property need to be respected. This decree is being handed down by a loathesome Mayor who didn't do the right thing when a Catagory 5 hurricane was on his doorstep. I wouldn't trust him or his people to make sure that my property was safe.

There are still areas where no assistance has been received since the hurricane hit. Let the Feds attend to those who are really in need.

I just posed a theory. I actually think they should be allowed to stay. They also loose the right to bitch about anything if something bad happens. I hear the water works in some areas. I wonder if it is safe to drink.
