What? The mayor and govenor and radio and tv stations all said GET OUT! What did you want?Yes, they said that about two days too late. You can go back and look at the hurricane threads here as Katrina was being tracked through the Gulf and you can see when all the models converged on New Orleans. That was Friday and that's when people should have begun leaving.
Sunday morning was too late to evacuate a city of that size. But I guess that's water under the bridge and through the levee now.

In this day and age, with all of the technology, tv, newspapers these people should never of had to wait until it was too late.
The mayor or governor should have had volunteers going house to house and ordering people to get in their cars or on buses or whatever, but they could have gotten all of them out.
