I think tourists should boycott NO untill there is a plan in place to evacuate them in case of an emergency. Otherwise, it won't get done.
Boycott NO?
Have you finally at long last lost your mind???
I am shaking my head, wondering, why you or anyone would imagine New Orleans will be back to business in a year or ten years.
And why given this, anyone would suggest a boycott.
You have truly lost your mind and need a rest
That is such an assinine statement...it actually amuses me.
How old are you?
Besides, I am blessed with common sense -- I'd rely on my OWNSELF to get the Hell our of Dodge, before relying on a FEMA jackass or government wonk.
That is of course if there is a New Orleans after all is said and done. Right now I do not think New Orleans will survive. Oh sure something will but a city of 500,000? I think not.

You make an excellent point about not having plans to evacuate tourists. All I can say is I"m glad I saw NO three times in my lifetime.
After seeing the I-10 bridge that is in tatters (how's the East-West interstate? I hadn't heard anything on its condition), and wondering how long it will be until they can fix the levee, I am seriously starting to wonder if the city will become a ghost town for a while, maybe even a long time.
They can't begin to rebuild until the water dries up, and how long will that take? How long will it take to rebuild the bridge? Power will be out for weeks, they're saying; people can't live without power for that long.
Does anyone else have any thoughts on this, how long it will take before they can even begin to rebuild?
