BREAKING!!! - Weldon says records were ordered destroyed!! (Able Danger)
Dom Giordano Show - 1210AM Radio "Big Talker" - Philadelphia | 29 AUG 05 | Vanity

Posted on 08/29/2005 6:23:38 PM PDT by Lancey Howard

Congressman Curt Weldon (R - Pennsylvania) gave another exclusive interview to Dom Giordano this evening (Monday) and broke the news that he will be giving a speech on September 8th (next Monday) during which he will present yet another 'Able Danger' witness. This new witness will attest (and will swear under oath when called) that he was "ordered to destroy records" relating to the 'Able Danger' program.

This order to destroy the records occurred prior to 9-11-01. Weldon intimated that it happened during the Clinton Administration.

The witness, who Weldon did not name, says that he was ordered to destroy records and was threatened with jail if he failed to comply. Weldon said that he has the names of the people involved, including the person who gave the order, and HE WILL NAME THEM in his speech.

Congressman Weldon also said that his staff has met with Senator Arlen Specter's (R - Pennsylvania) staff regarding the upcoming Judiciary Committee hearings. Weldon wants to be sure that everybody is on the same page. Weldon also said that he will do whatever he has to do to make sure that ALL the facts come out and that the process "is not manipulated".

Curt Weldon is like a pit bull on a steak. He expressed disgust with the "incompetence" of the 9-11 Commission and said that the victims of the 9-11 terror attacks deserve answers. Weldon is determined to see that they get them.

Weldon did express confidence in Tim Roehmer and John Lehman and speculated that perhaps the poor job done by the Commission was the result of an incompetent staff. Weldon sounded amazed and disappointed that so much important information was either glossed over or swept under the rug by the Commission.

Weldon will give his September 8th speech either to the National Press Club or to a "9-11 families" group which has asked him to speak. He apparently hasn't nailed down the exact venue yet.

(For those unfamiliar with Dom Giordano, he is a very good conservative local talk show host here in the Philadelphia area, an area which includes Curt Weldon's district. Weldon comes on Dom's show often and, like this evening, sometimes breaks news.)

Right now it's all hurricane news and anything else gets buried. Maybe he thinks that a week or so will allow more regular news to be broadcast.

That is a very deceptive and misleading description of how the Commission was formed. The Traitor Media and the Party of Treason dragged the President into forming it and made it politically dangerous for him not to accept it. All in all it will rebound in his favor since it was so egregiously flawed and that flaw we jumped on right away. It is totally discredited and is now a weapon to be used against the Party of Treason.

Once again the Left's plans blow up in its face.

Well I hope you are right but this story is just a gentle breeze in the MSM. And yes Bush was under a lot of political pressure to form up the committee. That's OK. Form the committee. But don't let Jamie Gorelick on that committee. That was simple incompetence on the part of the Republicans. They were out negotiated and out maneuvered when the committee was formed and it was Bush's responsibility to insure that didn't happen.

If Weldon can hang on long enough and get some support in the Senate (it won't we Specter) and the White House (not going to happen IMHO) then indeed it may all blow up in our favor. The Dems knew they were taking a chance opening up the Clinton pre-9/11 can of worms but their insane hatred of Bush forced them to take the chance.

Time will tell. I hope you are right.

Somewhere there is a paper trail that exposes who shorted airlines in a huge way just before 9/11. At the time Freepers were up in arms about why nobody seemed interested in tracking them down and, evidentally, nobody ever has.

"NEVER FORGET that two of the 'Toon's first acts in '93 were:

"1. Changing the LONGSTANDING PRACTICE of having DOD and State Departments approve sales to foreign powers (like missile technology, machine tools, etc) like China, assigning that approval to the Commerce (!?) Department instead.

"2. Disbanding the mechanism whereby the Democratic Party checked whether contributions came from foreign source.

"All of the 'Toons' actions are woven into the same garment."

What if Able Danger collected data on a bunch of Rats who got paid from the Oil From Food Scam? I believe that the Rats are more scared of links from the Oil For Food Scam than other links. This may be why they have been so against an independent Iraq. An independent Iraq just might demand money back and want to try to try some who were bribed for War Crimes in the near future.

The fact that this potential bomb shell information was covered only in a small local talk show venue tells me all I need to know about how the MSM will treat this new revelation. As I think the disbarred lawyer Clinton once advised a witnesses who was to testify at his impeachment hearings, all any Clintinoid who is named as ordering the destruction of AD documents has to do is; "deny, deny, deny".
You can be sure that the MSM will support the denial 100%.

Thw whole purpose of the 911 hearings was to hold nobody accountable thereby absolving the government of any repsonsibility. It was a total sham and a hoax.

Weldon should make his speech to the 9-11 families group. The press club would just thumb their noses at anything implicating Clinton anyway.

If he can get the families riled up they could garner a lot of support for a full and thorough investigation. At this point it's the 9-11 commission that needs to be investigated.

Only the Clintons could cause such a horrid mess.

Your comments below are absolutely chilling. When you first read it, you say no way. Then the grim possibility creeps in.

"Unless the Clintonistas knew that the attack was immenent and wanted to cover their butts. They probably figured that President Bush, the intellectual lightweight that they just knew he was, was going to fold like a cheap suit in the wake of the attack and leave the doors wide open for a RAT Sweep in the 2002 midterm elections and a following sweep in the 2004 elections.

These RATS are ruthless in pursuit of power.

- I read recently that when the Commission membership was first proposed by the Bush Administration, the Dems objected so strenuously to two of the independent nominees that the Administration caved and accepted the Dems proposal that they be removed and replaced by Gorelick and Ben-Veniste.

The Wall had nothing to do with DOD or military intelligence doing surveillance of citizens. The later comes under the Posse Comitatus Law. That's what the DOD lawyers were concerned about - erroneously.

That is only partially correct. Posse Comitatus forbids the use of the military in law enforcement. The FISA Act of 1978, EO12333 from 1982 (and a bunch of others) effectively stopped all military investigations regarding US Persons (see previous post on that). The DOD Lawyers based thier decision on the fact that Atta & Co were, at the time, legally present in the US and that this came too close to being illegal.

The "Wall" was within the DOJ, period. The intelligence side of DOJ was not allowed to talk to the criminal justice side of DOJ. When the "Wall" memo was written, Gorelick had absolutely no control over what DOD did or did not do.

"Gorelick's Wall" extended to EVERY other department as well (NSA, DIA & DOD) because - the DOJ is the ultimate arbitrator of what is allowed and what is not! For example - in order for the NSA to investigate a US Person, they must first obtain permission from the AG.

You make my point well. Always good to have a little data to back up the claims. Bush should have stood his ground right there and let the Dems sink or swim. Gorelick and Ben-Veniste had no place on that committee.

"This new witness will attest (and will swear under oath when called) that he was "ordered to destroy records" relating to the 'Able Danger' program."

The phrase in quotes seems much too vague and the delay in revealing the information seems too incongruent with what would be appropriate. Consequently, I am not really all that excited about the prospect that the Clintonites will be crushed.

Well, here we go again. You are the only one who knows the truth. The fact that I lived through the McCarthy era and formed my own opinion seems meaningless to you because you read "Treason".

I can tell you this about Ann Coulter; she is an articulate, passionate Conservative, but she also has the capacity to err. I saw and heard Ms. Coulter [I believe on Hannity & Colmes] call the people of NYC "cowards". Well, my friend, I am from NYC originally and saw my city of birth brutally attacked by Arab terrorists and respond to those attacks with extraordinary bravery. Firemen were attempting to rescue people from the World Trade Center knowing that they were risking their lives for total strangers. Many, many brave acts were performed by the citizens of NYC on that day and I am offended that Coulter would label them all with the broad brush accusation of "cowards" But, then again, that is what got McCarthy into trouble, the broad brushed labeling of people.

So, if you think you are going to change the opinion of some one who lived through the McCarthy era by citing Ann Coulter, after those remarks by her, you are quite mistaken.

Lastly, the discussion last night of McCarthy was hindered by a severe lack of civility. Most of us here on Free Republic are Conservatives. We joined to learn more, and to associate with like minded persons. Name calling or ridicule is not productive. We are not here to prove who is the "best" Conservative or to make ourselves look better at another's expense.

You said I was not educated without knowing the level of my education. You said I had fallen for the lies of others; well, I am a 22+ year retired USAF/ANG veteran with some service in Viet Nam and I have never been accused of being naive. Forgetful, mess up a few facts, maybe. But, I do not base my opinions on one source no matter how hallowed.

How about key elite Rats who received illegal money from $addam via the "Oil for Food" Scam?

I hate becoming paranoid, but after living through so much history, I have had the opportunity to experience it...and then analyze it afterwards.

The RATS are desperate for power and maddened by the lack of it. They have ceased to be Americans...they are Democrats and Liberals.
