Looks like NO dodged a bullet. I reckon all those prayers helped.
The storm is not going to miss New Orleans. There is a chance the eye will move a bit to the east of the city. This doesn't help them with their water situation. It would mean slightly lower winds. Nobody in New Orleans should consider this storm anything less than it was a few hours ago. She is still extremely dangerous and still moving towarsd the city.
I heard that. They also said that the southwest side of the eyewall appeared to be weakening.......... it was all pretty good news for everyone and NO in particular. They also said it was moving much faster which is a good thing.
