To: bored at work

Is it just me, or has anyone else noticed that this storm isn't turning north? If it keeps on this path and doesn't turn soon, won't that put it WEST of NO (wouldn't that be a worse case for them?) They are now saying Grand Isle but it sure doesn't look like it.

well, the forecasters all say its going to turn more north. we shall see.

I have noticed, big bad stroms like this can, sometimes build a rid of hig pressure (out flow) north of them and can resist weak steering currents. katrina might be doing that, which would be very good news for NO and very bad news for those west of NO.

She does appear to be turning, just slower then forcast.
