The host of a nationally syndicated radio show was seriously injured Thursday afternoon in a motorcycle crash near Mount Spokane State Park.
Laurie Roth, affectionately called the "Annie Oakley of the airwaves" by listeners, was airlifted to Sacred Heart Medical Center after she collided with a deer on state Highway 206 about 3:30 p.m., said Washington State Patrol Trooper Jeff Sevigney. She was listed in critical condition Thursday night.

Bad deal, I hope she recovers OK.
I never thought much about smashing into a deer on a motorcycle for all the years I spent in my youth running up and down rural roads on one (never over the speed limit, or anything like that, LOL).
Seriously, I think a guardian angel was riding on my shoulder back in those days. I wish this woman a full and speedy recovery.
A deer can mess up a driver if it comes through the windshield. No surprise at the damage it can do to a motorcyclist.
That sounds horrible. . .never heard of her; but hope it is better than is being reported. And that she does not remain somewhere. . .between 'here and there'. . .
Good grief - I just drove on that road last weekend at dusk and it was lousy with deer. Prayers up.
Deer: rats with hooves.
