SANTA MONICA Santa Monica police say suspicious activity has drawn their attention to three men, recently spotted on the Santa Monica pier.
Detectives say three Middle Eastern individuals were videotaping the pier in a suspicious manner. It happened three weeks ago. Apparently, a citizen saw the trio taking pictures at the pier and the surrounding area. That citizen then called police.
The same three individuals were also seen taking suspicious video in two other communities. The individuals have been identified, but no arrests have been made. Police are releasing few details about the case.

Ohio Plant Explosion Injures One Person (OH - 8/11/05)
Victim Flown To Pittsburgh Hospital
EAST LIVERPOOL, Ohio -- One person was life-flighted to Pittsburgh after an explosion at a hazardous waste plant just across the state line in Ohio.
The blast happened at about 1:30 p.m. Thursday at the WTI Plant in East Liverpool, Ohio
I shot a hazmat waste training video at the WTI plant in Ohio about 8 or 9 years ago.
Okay, second hazmat waste disposal plant to go up in recent days. It's not that hard to secrete an explosive payload in a hazwaste container, label it as something else, and send it on its way. These trucks pick up the container, which is sealed at the sender's site, and store until it is either burned or neutralized in some way.
Thanks for the ping all4one.
