WCG, We have got to take care of all those islamic countries who plan to nuke us at the first chance. Excuse me, to include all the communist countries also.

I saw a cartoon in a Soldier of Fortune magazine an number of years back. It depicted a Green Beret soldier with his boot on the neck of an Opec minister on the ground to inclde an M16 jammed in the muxlums mug. The Green Beret was saying to the muskie opec dung, "What price now OPEC." Power Perceived is Power Achieved.

I think maybe we should call in the Israeli Moosad and let them interrogate JVDS/PVDS/Kalpukes/Croes. We would have answers in a short time, no deposit and no return.

I hope something good will happen in this case soon, but I am not holding my breath. The right investigative team could have solved this day one or two. A homicide case is difficult to solve when the investigative team chooses to turn a blind eye(lackadaisical)(Aruban Law Enforcement-Dutch-Uninvestigative Non-Experts)NSNR

"I had wished this issue had been discussed on these threads too, but I haven't seen it."

This topic was discussed very early.

What you now left unsaid is the Van Der Sloot's own comlpicity in this by essentially raising their son in precisely this manner. Read your "brilliant insight" once again, this time substituting the VDS's for the Twittys.

All this "self esteem" BS, and allowing a 17-year-old the freedom to roam and do as he pleases, and when he is caught in a crime, stick up for him.

I also heard rumors that cigarette butts were found by the "empty grave," so they may be linking that scene up with the perps.

DNA!

The more I think about it, duct tape could contain a treasure trove of DNA evidence. Someone on this thread mentioned that if the tape were torn with teeth, it would contain saliva (might have been you that said that). But actually anywhere the adhesive side of the tape comes into contact with skin, it would pick up traces of oil, hair, and flakes of dead skin.

Are you talking about the area where the duct tape was found? If so, as TexKat reminded me last night, the DNA samples were asked for on Thursday. The duct tape was found on Sunday. The suspects would not voluntarily provide the DNA samples so it took a court order to obtain them. That's why it wasn't done until yesterday.

The only way the DNA samples would be needed to compare to the duct tape/hair samples would be if someone knew ahead of time that the duct tape was out there.

I think the cigarette butts near the "gravesite" makes more sense, but don't know if that is the case.

Ok, so they found cigarette butts as well? Someone decided to stick around and have a smoke after they buried her? LOL.

Is it just ME or does anyone else think we are being had? I mean, good grief, what are the odds that this has any link to Natalee?

The Park Ranger acted like a silly fool last night. Why? What's up with that?

I didn't see that. What was it like?

I was actually cringing whilst viewing Greta's interview with the two communications-challenged girlfriends last night.

No reflection on these young ladies, but doesn't Greta or one of her staff peeples vet interviewees first?

I know it's hard to sustain an hour-long show with interesting and informative interviews and commentary, but this interview was one of the most time-wasting, fruitless and embarrassing ones I've ever dozed through.

Greta should refine, define and sharpen the segment times devoted to the Natalee case.....and her gallant efforts on behalf of the investigation would be much more effective.

Eliminate the dumb, pointless interviews, Greta.

Morning Dark Skies.

I can't really describe it properly. The Ranger was grinning and looking away at inappropriate times, is the best way I can put it. It was as tho he was holding back a joke or something. (I'm having trouble explaining this :(

AND, get this...he didn't recall seeing any HAIR on the duct tape!

Wait a minute: do you mean the ranger who turned in the duct tape now says he didn't see any hairs??

The Ranger was grinning and looking away at inappropriate times

That's odd. But it may have just been nervousness at being on camera. Some people grin when they are nervous and have trouble holding a gaze.

I hope that's all it was.

And about him not knowing there was hair on the tape...as said previously, that tape is most likely going to be loaded with microscopic evidence.

Yes, that is what I thought I heard in the interview last night. He couldn't describe the hair for Greta, because he didn't see any.

Leni, could you please check the interview and confirm that for us?
