Good grief. This just proves beyond a doubt that Joe Wilson is a fabulist. Bob Novak talks to complete strangers? And spills information about a CIA employee??? Puhleeze. Bob Novak flipped the bird at me at a Maryland basketball game once when I tried to say hello to him! He is not a nice guy at all. What an assclown Joe Wilson is.

Here's part of the CNN conversation:
BLITZER: But the other argument that's been made against you is that you've sought to capitalize on this extravaganza, having that photo shoot with your wife, who was a clandestine officer of the CIA, and that you've tried to enrich yourself writing this book and all of that.
What do you make of those accusations, which are serious accusations, as you know, that have been leveled against you.
WILSON: My wife was not a clandestine officer the day that Bob Novak blew her identity.
BLITZER: But she hadn't been a clandestine officer for some time before that?
WILSON: That's not anything that I can talk about. And, indeed, I'll go back to what I said earlier, the CIA believed that a possible crime had been committed, and that's why they referred it to the Justice Department.
She was not a clandestine officer at the time that that article in Vanity Fair appeared. And I have every right to have the American public know who I am and not to have myself defined by those who would write the sorts of things that are coming out, being spewed out of the mouths of the RNC...

If true, this would make Rove Novak's leak # 2.Interesting. It would also mean Rove heard it from someone else before he heard it from Novak. Maybe they both asked the same people about it.

Why get in their way while they're so busy shooting themselves in the foot? Just keep offering to help them reload.

Doh! Looks like the Times forgot to check with little Joey before they ran their story! Their lede says "Karl Rove, the White House senior adviser, spoke with the columnist Robert D. Novak as he was preparing an article in July 2003 that identified a C.I.A. officer
who was undercover, someone who has been officially briefed on the matter said."
Woops! This should be the Mother of All Corrections Columns!!!

It's time to put an end to their foolishness. They think they can manipulate the leaders in this country and they are. We are fighting a defensive war, it's time to take the game to them and go on the offensive.
If for no other reason then...payback is a bitch!!!

You said......Of course Miller talks to Plame, that's obviously why she never wrote the story herself. Plame was her key CIA source on all of her WMD stories. She would have to tell it all to the grand jury. That's ceratinly worth going to jail for.
OMG! I NEVER put those two together before and on WMD issues to boot!! Good going. Last week someone noted that Miller was WRONG on every thing she wrote about WMD! I need a SCORECARD!
Your tagline is so true.....why DOES Plame still have a job?

What an assclown Joe Wilson is.He tried pulling out the old "The Administration's keeping a secret file on me!" ploy earlier today during his press conference with Chuckie Schumer. He almost isn't worth the trouble it takes to go after him. Almost.

I know. It's really funny how these "supposedly bright" liberals seem to trip over themselves and their accomplices.

From the article: "The disclosure of Mr. Rove's conversation with Mr. Novak raises a question the White House has never addressed: whether Mr. Rove ever discussed that conversation, or his exchange with Mr. Cooper, with the president. Mr. Bush has said several times that he wants all members of the White House staff to cooperate fully with Mr. Fitzgerald's investigation."
The only reason that the question is "raised" is because the Times wants it raised.

What the Times did not report in this article (and what the AP is now reporting) is that Robert Novak called Karl Rove. This omission by the NYT is important since the entire liberal spin is that Rove ran around telling this to any reporter that would listen in order to get even with Joe Wilson. Obviously we now know that wasn't true and is looks like this one, like so many others, is falling on its' ass.

The real solution to all this mess is to quit talking to reporters! When will we learn that they are NOT our friends. D I T T O !!
To: stylin19a
It would almost certainly be someone in the Special Prosecutors office, or even a grand juror. They would be the only people who would be 'thoroughly' briefed. Lots of different people would know different bits and pieces, but only someone in teh SP's office or a member of the Grand Jury would know all the info.

Yep. And unlike all the Rove/Plame/Wilson hogwash, THAT is a leak that is actually illegal.
